Sheryl Munsey, Registered Dental Hygienist, has been practicing dental
hygiene for thirty-three years and has a total of thirty-nine years in
dentistry. Sheryl started her career at the age of sixteen with her
first dental position, which was in pediatric dentistry where she spent
a lot of time in a surgical setting performing full mouth
reconstruction
on special needs and handicapped children.
Sheryl then went on to
college at Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana where she earned
a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. The next sixteen years
were spent practicing in Louisiana in several different offices, both
in
general dentistry and in a periodontal practice specializing in
treating
gum disease.
Sheryl grew up in Florida the majority of her life. In June of 1994,
she moved back to Florida where she married her high school sweetheart. They have two daughters.
Upon
returning to Florida, Sheryl was immediately employed by Seminole
Dental
where she has been practicing dental hygiene for the past seventeen
years.
She has kept up with the latest in Continuing Education, which
include extensive classes at the Las Vegas Institute for Cosmetic
Dentistry.
Sheryl has completed certification for Invisalign, an
alternative to conventional braces, eliminating the uncomfortable
traditional brackets and wires. By completing this course, she can
further assist her patients in attaining the healthy, beautiful smile
that they deserve.
Sheryl loves her job and enjoys getting up and going to work everyday.
Her goal is to make her patients feel completely at ease and
comfortable. She is dedicated and committed to educating her patients
while providing excellent care.
She feels that Seminole Dental is like a close-knit family and is sure patients will feel the warmth as soon as they walk through
the door.
